The philosophy of the Vernon Hills Community Baseball and Softball Program is to increase the players' confidence and self-esteem; help them develop an understanding of the value of teamwork, honesty, courage, respect for authority and good sportsmanship; and maximize the potential of each player's skill and knowledge of the games of baseball and softball

• At least 1 practice per week 
• Outdoor Practice Start Week of April 1st - Weather Permitting
• Opening Day Saturday May 11th for all levels but Seniors 
• Seniors start after the HS season end Late May.
• All levels will play neighboring communities(Libertyville, Mundelein and LF)

Freshman

• Part Coach/Kid Pitch - Skill Development Focus (Throwing, Catching, Fielding, Hitting)
• 12 - 14 games scheduled
• Teams formed by friend/school requests.
• Games will be primarily Tuesdays & Saturdays (Note: Some Sundays will be scheduled for rainouts)
• Season ends by July 2nd
• Program Fee: $165
• Ages for this program are 7 - 8 years old (Current 1st and 2nd grade)
• **If you have a 6 year old (K) daughter looking to play - please register her for Single A in our baseball registration.**

Sophomore

• Mostly Kid/ Part Coach pitch
• 14 -16 games scheduled
• Games primarily played on Wednesdays and Saturdays.  A game or two will be scheduled under lights at VHAC.  Some makeup games may be scheduled on Sundays.
• Ages for this program are 9 and 10 year olds (Current 3rd and 4th Grade)
• Teams formed by coach selection with friend/school requests considered but not guaranteed
• Season ends by July 2nd
• Program Fee: $200 

Juniors

• 14 - 16 games 
• Games will be played on Thursdays and the weekend. A game or two will be scheduled under lights at VHAC.
• Season ends by July 2nd
• Ages for this program are 11 - 12 years old (Current 5th - 6th grade)
• Teams formed by coach selection with friend/school requests considered but not guaranteed
• Program Fee: $225

**A waitlist will start after 36 kids register - This ensures ample playing time - we can not have teams with more than 13 kids.**

Seniors

• 14 - 16 games schedule
• Opening Day - likely to start in mid to late May. After HS season.
• Games will be played on Thursdays, Fridays and the weekend.
• Season ends by mid July
• Ages for this program are 13 - 17 years old (Current 7th - 11th grade)
• Teams formed by coach selection with friend/school requests considered but not guaranteed
• Program Fee: $225

**A waitlist will start after 36 kids register - This ensures ample playing time - we can not have teams with more than 13 kids.**

*There is a late fee of $50.00 after February 28th.*

Refund policy:

We can not issue a full refund once uniforms are ordered and teams are formed. 

We always need coaches! Please volunteer this season.  Also, note all board members and coaches are volunteering their time to make this a great experience for your child every season.
